Anistyn turning 18 months old marked 2 big events for us. 1- it means baby girl #2 was almost here. 2- nursery!! For all you parents out there, this is HUGE. I was so excited for Anistyn to go to nursery so rob and I could actually go and listen to our church meetings. Well, Anistyn is yet to make it to nursery. She was sick the first week we were going to take her, and then I had to leave church early the next week, and then she was super grumpy the next week. One day, we will make it (although i don't know when, since it's conference this week, and we will have a new baby in the next couple of weeks.... But someday....)
Anistyn has always been a smart, active baby (yeah, yeah, I know my opinion may be a little biased, but still... She is a smart little girl!) here are some of the things she says and does:
What's that?
Who's that?
Mommy, daddy (and other forms like ma, da, etc- and now knows who is who, for a while we were both either mom or dad.)
Grandpa, grandma, nana, baby, and Katy.
She is very good about telling us what she wants if you ask a yes or no question.
She sings "let it to" from frozen like it's going out of style (she is also singing to the other songs now too, but I can't really tell what she is singing -I think we picked her middle name well, Kaleolani means heavenly melody in hawaiian-)
She loves to kiss her baby sister first thing in the morning and last thing before bedtime.
She loves bath time, especially when there are bubbles, and she just learned to say "bubble" she loves having her hair washed, and says "gulp, gulp" as the water makes a noise filling up the water bottle I use for it.
She is great at cleaning up her toys. And now sings her version of the "clean up song" while I sing it. She sings the clean up part, but makes up her own words to the other parts.
She loves to watch Mickey Mouse clubhouse, and says "oh toodles" when Mickey does. She also loves to dance to the hot dog song at the end.
She still eats everything except for pancakes (I've even tried blueberry and had syrup on them, and she doesn't like them) she is a great eater and is now trying to become more independent (and messy-I have pictures to prove it) scrambled eggs are still probably one of her favorites.
She knows a lot of animal sounds (thank you iPad!) she does the sounds for dog, cat (which is my favorite to hear her say) duck, bee, monkey, cow, goat, and bird. She also knows the sound a train and police make.
The thing that makes rob super happy about her, is she has recently started saying "ball" and loves to play with baseballs and softballs, and pretty much anything sports. She also can spot the MLB logo, and says ball. (I told ya she is smart!)
She loves to read books to herself, and to us.
She loves feeding her baby doll, trying to put clothes on them, and changing their diapers. She is gonna be such a good big sister!
She has figured out how to take her pjs off, and her pants. Luckily she hasn't really figured out one onesie and diaper yet.
She loves to wrestle with rob. She pushes him over and also does push ups with him (so funny to watch!) her daddy is still her favorite person. She is almost the spitting image of him, besides my hair and skin color.
She is still not the most cuddly little girl, but she is doing it more and more lately. She loves to give kisses, and blow kisses, and she has the cutest little wave.
When she sees her bottle, or I tell her it's bedtime, she goes and turns the tv off, it doesn't matter if rob is still watching it, or I'm coming back to watch it, she turns it off. She also turns it on first thing in the morning because Mickey Mouse is on, and she eats cereal and watches it while I make breakfast.
That's our little girl in a nutshell. She does a whole lot more, but I can't think of it all right now. Here are some of my favorite pictures lately.
