The next adventure was on Memorial Day. For the past 4 years I have gone with my mom to visit my grandparents and great grandma at the cemeteries. I love the time I get to spend with my mom, and the girls just adore her. Here are a few pictures from that day.

A few outings
We have done a few outings the last week or so. The first was the salt lake bees game. My favorite baseball player Josh Hamilton was put on the DL and doing rehab here with the bees, when we found that out, we decided to go see him play. The game was kind if a nightmare because Anistyn was so grumpy, but I found out I could have the stroller, so I let rob watch the game from out seats, and I pushed Anistyn and sat in behind the outfield on the grass, and used my Moby wrap to carry Paisley. The bees lost, but it was still a good night. Here are a few pictures I snapped.
Little girl update
It seems like the little girls are growing like weeds these days. Last Friday, Anistyn turned 20 months, and paisley turned 6 weeks. I can't believe Paisley is 6 weeks! She is such a great baby. Starting about 2 weeks ago, she has started sleeping through the night (she goes to bed around 9:30 and wakes up between 5 and 6:30, then sleeps again until 8 or so.) I have been blessed with amazing sleepers- Anistyn was the same way. Paisley is still an amazing eater, and a very relaxed baby. Anistyn on the other hand.... She is a crazy energetic fire ball, who is always making us laugh. I wanted to document a little about the new things she has learned.
*she is talking a ton. She asks for a bite if your eating something and she wants some.
*she asks for a cookie if she wants something to eat.
*she asks for her "cuppy" if she wants a drink.
*she says please and thank you.
*she loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse, and sings and dances to the songs, and does a few words in the show, like calling for "toodles"
*shes obsessed with shoes, and always wants them on, even when she has feetie pjs on.
*she loves to hold her baby sister.
*she loves her "cousin" hallie, they are pretty cute together. They even face timed today, now Anistyn keeps asking to talk on the "pad"
*And my favorite, she folds her arms, says her own version of her prayers, and says amen. (this makes me feel like a proud mommy, and feel like I'm doing something right.)
**we also did something else that has proven that our little girl is becoming a big girl. Anistyn has gone to bed with a bottle of milk since she stopped nursing. She has never been a big drinker of milk in her sippy cup (but loves water). On Sunday I put some milk in her cup during breakfast, with a little chocolate, and she drank it up! I decided to try putting her to bed with milk in her sippy, and it was successful. We were successful all Sunday and Monday. I was feeling so successful, that I decided to take the cup away all together. We decided we would give her some milk before bed, but not let her have the cup in bed. She decided she didn't want to drink milk before bed, but slept pretty well without it. The downside of this.... She was a MONSTER for a couple of days. She also wouldn't ever drink milk. It had me worried that she wasn't getting enough calcium. Luckily, we changed sippy cups and she has drank a ton of milk today. It's been a frustrating few days, definantly trying on both rob and I ( I feel like it was harder on us then it was on Anistyn ) I wanted to give in last night, and let her Have a bottle, but I'm glad we didn't. She has been a lot better today, and I'm glad we have broken the bottle habit. Next: the binky!!!
***thats all I can think of to write for now. Here are some pictures.

Tonight
I have every intention to post about being a mom, and motherhood. I have been wanting to since mothers day, but I have put it off. That will be my next post. ( although I'm not guaranteeing it will be tonight)
In this post, I wanted to write down my feelings on what happened tonight in our home. First of all, I don't claim to be the perfect mother, or wife, or homemaker. I also don't claim to be the perfect Latter Day Saint. I honestly can't tell you the last time I pulled out my scriptures (I HATE admitting that-but I'm hoping that by admitting it, it will make me accountable for the future) okay, onto the point of this post.
Rob had to work in the office today (he usually works from home) so it was just the girls and I all day. Of course when it's just us, paisley decided to be clingy and need to be held. This started around 2PM. I put Anistyn down for her nap, and tried to do the same with paisley so I could get the kitchen and living room clean, and get dinner cooking. Well, paisley had other plans. She spit up a lot right after eating, and I didn't think much of it, I figured she ate too much. When the grumpiness and fussiness continued for a couple hours, I figured she had a tummy ache. When Anistyn woke up, I turned Mickey Mouse on (yeah, mother of the year right here) and continued to try and comfort and calm down paisley. When that didn't work, I decided to get dinner started, and proceeded to make it one handed. Rob arrived home just before 7, and by then, I was spent. I asked rob to hold paisley while I got dinner out of the oven and on the table. I got anistyns dinner for her, then told rob to go eat while I held paisley, and then we would switch. He said he was okay, and told me to eat first. I didn't realize how hungry I was until I sat down behind a plate. I hurried and ate, then took paisley so he could eat. After both of us were done, and we cleaned up Anistyn, we sat down in the living room. It was getting close to bedtime for Anistyn, so I was surprised when rob said to turn off the iPad and asked Anistyn to sit on his lap because he was going to read her a book. I didn't know what was going on, but decided to just go with the flow. I went and got Anistyn a picture book to help entertain her, and while I did that, rob played the summery of the first book of Nephi. Anistyn climbed on his lap, and he read the first chapter of Nephi. We had to stop, or ask Anistyn to sit down, but we did eventually get through it. After we were done reading, we sang "I am a child of god" and then had a family prayer. After that, I turned on one of my favorite church songs, and got Anistyn ready for bed. When she was in her bed, we kept the tv off, and I paced and rocked paisley while singing church songs. One song I sang was " what heaven sees in you" it's the song about the three white dresses. It's always been one of my favorites, but tonight, and I held my sweet baby girl and looked at her and sang it, it brought on a whole new meaning. I don't claim to be the best singer, but the way paisley looked at me, seeming so intrigued, so content, you would think she was having the best time of her short little life. I had to fight back the tears, as I sang it to her. After that song, we continued to sit there and sing church songs for almost an hour.
Now, I know this post is probably boring to everyone, and it won't be life changing for you, but who knows, maybe it will be for me. Having rob initiate the family scripture study, and prayer has made me want to resolve to do better on my own personal scripture reading, and prayers. I want to be an example to my daughters, and to my husband. I am so glad rob chose today to start this, because today I was feeling overwhelmed, and not qualified to take care of these little girls. Reading as a family, and Singing that song, and having paisley look at me, so accepting of all my short comings was all I needed.
It's 3 hours later, and I have managed to finally get paisley to sleep, and read a chapter in the Book of Mormon for my own personal study. Doing so has made me feel accomplished, and that's a wonderful feeling when your feeling overwhelmed. I'm so glad rob initiated this for our family, and I am resolving to make it a habit. If anybody is still reading this, feel free to ask me about this in the future, so I can be accountable if we slack off again. :)

Paisley's first photo shoot!
On Friday, May 16th, we did Paisley's pictures. Mckenzie, who did my maternity pictures, did these pictures as well. I also wanted to get a few pictures of Anistyn and Paisley. Of course, both girls were grumpy. Paisley wouldn't sleep, and Anistyn didn't want anything to do with Paisley. Go figure. We tried to get few of Anistyn alone too, and those didnt work either. (I am hoping to do family pictures closer to Paisley's blessing, hopefully we can get the girls to cooporate a little better.
**** IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A PHOTOGRAPHER, I RECOMMEND MCKENZIE, YOU CAN SEE HER WORK AT UNABRIDGEDGIRL.COM!
